Introduction

We organize a handful of programs each year for independent high school students.
(Independent students are those traveling without their teacher.)
Each program is staffed with a US-based Program Director and an assistant.
Just like our regular programs, we take care of all the logistics:
  • Flights
  • Accommodations
  • Breakfasts and Dinners
  • Ground Transport
  • Local Guides
  • Entrance Fees
  • Gratuities
And, just like our regular programs you can pay in easy monthly installments.

Eligibility

Summer Programs are open to high school students and recent graduates with a letter of recommendation from a teacher, administrator or guidance counselor.
College student? Ask us about our College Programs.

Availability

We limit enrollment on each program to between 8 and 12 students.
Students travel with a Program Director and assistant.

Airports

We arrange group flights from the following airports:
  • New York
  • Boston
  • Chicago
  • Los Angeles
  • Houston
Pick whatever one is most convenient for you.

Local Connections

We may be able help you arrange flights to/from your local airport.
This has some important advantages:
  • Connecting flight fees can be added to your Program Fee
(Fully insured and paid in monthly installments)
  • Luggage is checked through from home airport to final destination
(Students avoids retrieving and re-checking luggage at the assembly airport)
  • Connecting flights are asssociated with group flights
(Airline is aware of the affect of schedule changes and delayed departures)
There is small supplemental fee for this service.

Private transfer back to Athlone for dinner overlooking the Shannon across from a beautifully lit Athlone Castle.
3 Dublin City Private transfer to Dublin. Visit Epic Ireland and learn about Ireland’s influential diaspora (you probably expect to hear about John F. Kennedy and Bono, but you probably didn’t expect to hear about Charles de Gaulle and Che Guevara!). Lunch. Guided tour of Christchurch Cathedral (founded in 1028 by a Viking King) and Kilmainham Gaol.
4 The South Private transfer to Cork. Along the way we’ll stop and explore the Rock of Cashel and take in the Titanic Experience in Cobh. Visit Blarney Castle where we’ll be “Blessed with the Gift of the Gab” when we kiss the Blarney Stone.
5 The North Day trip up north to see the fascinating basalt columns of the Giant’s Causeway, cross the rope bridge at Carrick-a-Rede and take in the incredible views from the coastal walk, then wander around the ruins of medieval Dunluce Castle high up on the coastal cliffs. Dinner overlooking the harbor in Portrush then transfer back to Tullamore.
6 The West Private transfer to Lahinch for some time strolling along the Cliffs of Moher. Lunch, then transfer to Limerick to explore the beautifully restored King John’s Castle. Coffee, then transfer to Portmagee.
7 The West Choose one: (A) Skellig Micheal - Boat ride out to Skellig Michael to explore the remains of the Christian Monastery (selected by J.J. Abrams as the first Jedi Temple in Star Wars: The Force Awakens); (B) Valentia Island - Road trip includes the Skellig Experience Visitor Center, Bray Head Tower, Cromwell Point Lighthouse, Geokaun Mountain, Fogher Cliffs, and the Subtropical Gardens at Glanleam. Evening of traditional music and food at Bunratty Castle.
