Montreal & Quebec City

Old Québec - the fortified historical district of Quebec City - is one of the few historical areas in North America to have fully preserved it’s Francophone culture. Its European feel, history, culture and warmth have made it a favorite destination for French students. It’s narrow cobbled streets, 17th- and 18th- century houses, numerous historical buildings, universities, convents and churches, plazas and parks, shops and restaurants are a pleasure to explore on foot.

Old Montreal - the historic district of Montreal - is smaller than Old Quebec, but exhibits the same European charm. What makes Old Montreal exceptional is that the archeological evidence of the development of the city are so well preserved and accessible to students. There is no better place to become acquainted with life as a settler of New France and the history of Quebec.
