Emily grew up in central Massachusetts and during a summer mission trip to Puerto Rico when she was fifteen, she realized how much she wanted to be able to speak Spanish and travel. The next year, she accompanied her Spanish teacher to Spain. Little did she know these two experiences would shape her future and instill in her a love for language and traveling. She studied Spanish and education at Gordon College in Massachusetts and lived in Seville, Spain for six months during college. Through travel and experiences abroad, Emily has learned so much about the world and about herself and loves to share that passion with students. She received her M.A in Spanish Linguistics from Middlebury College and has been teaching Spanish at Algonquin Regional High School in Northborough Massachusetts for the past nine years. She has traveled extensively through Western Europe and Mexico over the past ten years with friends, family and students, and looks forward to continuing to share her love for travel, languages, education and new experiences with students and their teachers.
