Puerto Rico Rising

We're offering this limited-edition program at cost as encouragement for teachers and students interested in helping support the Puerto Rico by visiting this beautiful country as soon as possible.

Introduction

The program is based on our immensely popular Eco-Puerto-Rico program, so it includes historic Old San Juan, the Cordillera Central Mountain Range, Ziplining, Surf Lessons, a Coffee Tour, a Bio-Bay Tour, and Surf Lessons.
Each program is staffed with a US-based Program Director.

1 Airborne
Old San Juan
Meet your Program Director at the airport for your flight to Puerto Rico! Orientation - Find Hotel, Plaza Colon, Fort San Cristobal, Santa Maria Magdelena de Pazzis Cemetary, Plaza del Quinto Centenario, Fortaleza San Filipe del Morro, Plazuela de la Rogativa, San Juan Gate, Plaza del Immigrante, Raices Fountain, and Paseo de la Princesa. Dinner in Old San Juan overlooking the bay.
2 Old San Juan Relaxed breakfast overlooking Old San Juan. Explore inside the 400-year old Castillo San Felipe del Morro, Casa Blanca (build for Ponce de Leon), La Fortaleza (the oldest governor's mansion in the western hemisphere), and San Juan Cathedral. Enjoy a relaxed lunch and spend some time exploring the famous shopping streets. Late afternoon exploring the Botanical Gardens.
3 Cordillera Central
Luquillo Beach
Board your private shuttle(s) for an all-day excursion to the Cordillera Central Mountain range ending at Luquillo Beach. We'll visit Arecibo Observatory (the largest radio telescope in the world until China completed FAST in 2016), enjoy the astonishing view across the valley from Cueva Ventana, and visit the Puerto Rican Coffee Museum. Check into hotel on Luquillo Beach and enjoy a swim in the warm turquise Caribbean waters. Dinner overlooking the bay.
4 Zipline & Surf Board your private shuttle, we’re spending the moring visiting El Yunque National Park then enjoying a morning of ziplining just outside the boundary (the park is protected by the U.S. National Parks Service). Lunch back on Luquillo Beach, then spend the afternoon a with our surfing instructors.
5 Airborne Quick swim then Churros Breakfast before heading to airport for flight home.
