Itinerary

Old Québec City is the ideal jumping- off point to show students the great Canadian outdoors while also learning about Quebecois history, language, and culture.
The city itself is one of the few historical areas in North America to have fully preserved its Francophone culture, and its European feel has made it a favorite destination for French students.
This trip will explore the fortified Old Québec historical district (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), with highlights such as the Musée du Fort and the Citadelle. We will also take advantage of summer weather, venturing outside the city walls for a bike ride and daring zipline over the Montmorency Falls, kayaking on the Saint Lawrence River, and hiking in the Parc National de la Jacques Cartier!
Day City Overview
1 Quebec Meet your Program Director and enjoy the ride straight to the heart of Old Québec City. Check into 4-Star Hotel Clarendon overlooking Place de l’Hôtel de Ville. Professionally guided walking tour of Old Québec, including a funicular ride. À la carte dining at a restaurant of your choosing (we have some great recommendations!)
2 Quebec Enjoy breakfast in the Quartier Petit Champlain. Bike out to admire Montmorency Falls before ziplining across the Montmorency River as it tumbles over the cliffs cascading down into the Saint Lawrence River. Picnic overlooking the falls then bike back to the city. Compare French and British Military Strategy, participate in Artillery and Infantry drills, then help conduct Field Medical Procedures at the Plains of Abraham (aka Battlefield Park) Discovery Center. Shopping time on Rue Saint-Jean then freshen up at the hotel before heading out to dinner.
3 Quebec It's Breton-style crepes for breakfast then a transfer out to Île d'Orleans for guided kayaking on the Saint Lawrence River. Back to the city for lunch, a guided tour of the Citadel of Quebec, time to explore the Paratrooper Museum (the museum of the Royal 22e Regiment, colloquially referred to as “The Vandoos”). Enjoy dinner downtown before strolling up to Parc-Bastion-de-la-Reine for a view of the illuminated skyline.
4 Quebec Breakfast on Rue Saint-Jean followed by a transfer to Jacques Cartier National Park where we'll we'll learn about Canadian flora and fauna with a park ranger, enjoy a picnic, and swim in the Jacques Cartier River. Finally, it's time to head home. Au Revoir Québec!
