Introduction
Since 2009 we’ve been offering all-inclusive international travel programs for students interested developing core travel skills while exploring some of the world's most interesting places as part of a small group.
Our programs focus on the students, constantly challenging language, navigation, collaboration, and budgeting skills with real world activities like acquiring maps, finding hotels, navigating public transportation, evaluating restaurants, and eating well while staying within a meal allowance.
All-Inclusive

Itinerary
This trip includes two overnights on the fortified island of Old San Juan, two overnights on Luquillo Beach, and an overnight out on the island paradise of Vieques.

1 | Airborne Old San Juan |
Meet your Program Director at the airport for your flight to Puerto Rico. Orientation - Find Hotel, Plaza Colon, Fort San Cristobal, Santa Maria Magdelena de Pazzis Cemetary, Plaza del Quinto Centenario, Fortaleza San Filipe del Morro, Plazuela de la Rogativa, San Juan Gate, Plaza del Immigrante, Raices Fountain, and Paseo de la Princesa. Dinner in Old San Juan overlooking the bay. |
2 | Old San Juan | Relaxed breakfast overlooking Old San Juan. Explore inside the 400-year old Castillo San Felipe del Morro, Casa Blanca (build for Ponce de Leon), La Fortaleza (the oldest governor's mansion in the western hemisphere), and San Juan Cathedral. Enjoy a relaxed lunch and spend some time exploring the famous shopping streets. Late afternoon exploring the Botanical Gardens. |
3 | Cordillera Central Luquillo Beach |
Board your private shuttle(s) for an all-day excursion to the Cordillera Central Mountain range ending at Luquillo Beach. We'll visit Arecibo Observatory (the largest radio telescope in the world until China completed FAST in 2016), enjoy the astonishing view across the valley from Cueva Ventana, and visit the Puerto Rican Coffee Museum. Check into hotel on Luquillo Beach and enjoy a swim in the warm turquise Caribbean waters. Dinner overlooking the bay. |
4 | Zipline & Surf | Board your private shuttle, we’re spending the moring visiting El Yunque National Park then enjoying a morning of ziplining just outside the boundary (the park is protected by the U.S. National Parks Service). Lunch back on Luquillo Beach, then spend the afternoon a with our surfing instructors. |
5 | Vieques | Morning ferry to Vieques. Shuttle to our beach hotel. Lunch/Shopping on the promenade. Visit a secluded beach with soft black sand and dreamy waves. Late afternoon horse ride (individual upgrade). Shuttle to the Bio-Bay at sunset, buddy up, and pick a kayak. Learn a lot about Dinoflaggelate and a little about astronomy as we paddle out into the darkness across Puerto Mosquito, the brightest Bio-Bay on Earth. |
6 | Vieques Airborne |
Ferry back to Puerto Rico. Churros Breakfast. Stop at Luquillo Beach (time permitting) on the way to the airport. ¡Adiós Puerto Rico! |

All participants purchase comprehensive travel Insurance when they enroll, which provides a generous cancellation benefit: Program fees are reimbursed 100% if you cancel due to sickness or emergency, and 75% for any other reason. The insurance fee is refunded only if Students Love Travel cancels your enrollment.
