This itinerary includes two overnights on the fortified island of Old San Juan, two overnights colonial Ponce on the south coast, a day trip to Toro Negro Rainforest, and two overnights on the island paradise of Vieques off the east coast of Puerto Rico.
Highlights of Old San Juan: Visits to El Morro and San Cristobal, the beautiful plazas and botanical gardens, the cathedral and historic buildings, and a sunset cruise across the bay.
Highlights of road trip to Ponce: The worlds largest radio telescope at Arecibo Observatory, Cuevo Clara at Camuy Cave Park, Pinchos!, and a private tour of a family owned Coffee Plantation.
Highlights of Ponce: The panoramic view from El Vigia Cross, a tour of Serralles Castle & Gardens, a tour of the Taino Ceremonial Site at Tibes, and Salsa lessons at Julie Mayoral's Dance Academy.
Highlights of Toro Negro Rainforest: Guided hike up through the rainforest including plunge pools, swimming holes, waterfalls, rope climbs. Zipline tour back down through the rainforest with up to seven ziplines (depending on pace of group).
Highlights of Vieques: Professionally outfitted kayaking experience of the brightest Bio-Bay on Earth just as night begins to fall, El Fortin Conde de Mirasol, sandy beaches, and gentle surf.

Orientation - Find Hotel, Plaza Colon, Fort San Cristobal, Santa Maria Magdelena de Pazzis Cemetary, Plaza del Quinto Centenario, Fortaleza San Filipe del Morro, Plazuela de la Rogativa, San Juan Gate, Plaza del Immigrante, Raices Fountain, and Paseo de la Princesa. Dinner in Old San Juan overlooking the bay. |
2 | Old San Juan | Relaxed breakfast overlooking Old San Juan. Explore inside the 400-year old Castillo San Felipe del Morro, Casa Blanca (build for Ponce de Leon), La Fortaleza (the oldest governor's mansion in the western hemisphere), and San Juan Cathedral. Enjoy a relaxed lunch and spend some time exploring the famous shopping streets. Visit the Botanical Gardens, then spend the late afternoon relaxing on Condado Beach. End the day with a Sunset ferry ride across the bay before dinner. |
3 | Old San Juan to Ponce | Board our private shuttle(s) for an all-day tour ending on the southern side of the island in Ponce. Along the way, we'll find the worlds largest radio telescope at the Arecibo Observatory, take a Guided Tour through the Camuy Cave Park, and tour a family owned Coffee Plantation with a champion barista. Check into hotel in the heart of Ponce and take a quick dip in the swimming pool before dinner. End the day with an Ice Cream at Kings on Plaza Las Delicias. |
4 | Toro Negro Eco-Adventure | Board our private shuttle(s) for an all-day eco-adventure in the Toro Negro Rainforest. This professionally outfitted adventure includes Ecology Lessons, Hiking, Climbing, Bouldering, Swimming Holes, Plunge Pools, Zip-Lining, Rappelling and a Home-Cooked Puerto Rican lunch in the rainforest. A quick shower back at the hotel with some time for shopping and/or the swimming pool before dinner. End the day (and our time in Ponce) with a farewell visit to Kings. |
5 | Ponce to Vieques | Board our private shuttle(s) for a ride across the island to the ferry at Fajardo on the east coast. Along the way we'll Tour Serralles Castle & Gardens, and the Indigenous Indian Ceremonial Site at Tibes. Fast Ferry to Vieques. Check into our guest house(s) and take our first swim in the Caribbean! Dress up for dinner overlooking the ocean. |
6 | Vieques | Optional early morning Horseback Riding. Explore Isabel Segunda and take in the view from Fortin Conde de Mirasol. Lunch and spend the afternoon Snorkling, Swimming, or Sunbathing at some of the most deserted beaches in the Caribbean. Learn about Dinoflagellate during the Guided Night Kayak across Puerto Mosquito, the brightest Bio-Bay on Earth. Farewell dinner, can you believe it's all over? |
7 | Vieques Airborne | Early Ferry back to Fajardo. Churros Breakfast. Luquillo Beach (time permitting). Flight home. |
