Meaghan McSherry

Meaghan earned her B.A. in Spanish at the College of the Holy Cross in 2008. There, she also participated in the Teacher Education Program and earned her Spanish teaching license upon graduation. During her junior year, she studied abroad in León, Spain where she lived with a host family and took advantage of every opportunity to travel extensively throughout the country and the rest of Europe. That year, Meaghan fell in love with the culture of Spain and its beautiful landscapes and, since then, has been back to visit four times! In 2009, Meaghan earned her M.Ed. degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Boston College’s Lynch School of Education. Meaghan currently teaches middle and upper school Spanish at the Brimmer & May School. Prior to that, she taught Spanish at Reading Memorial High School (MA) for four years. There, Meaghan taught a range of Spanish courses, from Spanish 1 to 5 Honors, advised the Spanish club and traveled with them to Puerto Rico. Meaghan is passionate about sharing her experiences traveling to Spanish-speaking countries - Spain, Costa Rica and Ecuador (so far!) - with her students and hopes to instill in them not only a love of language learning, but also, a strong desire to explore other cultures first hand.
